Pleasure Craft Operators Card

INTRODUCTION

On September 15, 2009, it became law that any person of any age operating a power driven pleasure craft on Canadian waterways must have an operator’s card issued by a Transport Canada accredited course provider.

Westcan Inflatables is an affiliate of BOATsmart Canada, one of the nation’s leaders in providing training and exams for boaters wanting to acquire their Operators Card.
.

HOW TO OBTAIN AN OPERATORS CARD

A Pleasure Craft Operators Card exam is completed. You are issued a temporary card until the permanent card arrives in the mail.

Our waterways are becoming busier and boating technology is changing. Regulations are updated periodically. Now more than ever it’s important to have the knowledge to keep you safe. At Westcan Inflatables we can help you gain that knowledge.

It is strongly recommended that everyone take this course. The exam can be challenged and our concern is that boaters may not have the current information.

INSTRUCTION

The instructor draws upon over 20 years of experience on the water and instructing to provide valuable boating and safety knowledge. Classes are kept small to ensure quality instruction.

Students with unique training needs are most welcome. We want to accommodate everyone’s boating needs.
